"God does not see as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart." 1 Sam.16:7

I was so glad to be back today! We had a great discussion! Ask your child to tell you the difference between a heart of stone and a heart that loves and believes in Jesus. For Friday, Sept. 30 have your child familiarize themselves with the books of  the NT. I think we are all ready to move on. Ask your child to recite the OT books for you. You will be proud! Also, please read Chapter 20 of  The Child's Story Bible . Take time out to dig deeper with Matthew 5 - 7 and Luke 6. Take care and God bless!

Jesus is greater than sickness!

Class went well today! Be sure to ask them how Jesus is greater than sickness. It is such a blessing to be in God's word with your children! It means so much to hear them talk about Jesus in such a personal way. For Tuesday September 27th, please read Chapter 19 in your Child's Story Bible. We will continue to review all the Books of the OT. They are doing a great job. We will be moving on to the Books of the NT soon. God bless you all! See you next week!

"For God so loved the world that He gave up His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life" John 3:16

We had a great discussion in Bible today! I challenged them with the story of Nicodemus seeking Jesus in the night. They rose to the occaison! Be sure to ask them what it means to be "born again". Next week will be a little different. I am going to be at a family church retreat on Friday, Sept. 23. Mrs. Machtley will be teaching you Bible that day.
Your homework for Tuesday, Sept.20 will be to read Chapter 15 and 16 in your Child's Story Bible. We are going forward with our OT books to Habakkuk.
Your homework for Friday, Sept. 23 will be to read Chapter 17 and 18 in your Child's Story Bible. If all goes well we will work on memorizing to the end of the OT books. Exciting!
I hope everyone has a great weekend!

This the first of His miraculous signs, Jesus performed at Cana in Galilee. He thus revealed His glory, and His disciples put their faith in Him. John 2:11

We had another great Bible class today! Everyone participated so well in discussion and got so excited reciting our OT books. We are going to strive to memorize through Hosea for Friday. Please read Chapters 11- 14 in your Child's Story Bible. Be sure to ask your child how they made water into wine! We made magic but discussed that Jesus' miracles were real. His purpose was always to serve others and show His power and glory. See you on Friday! God Bless!

"Come and follow Me," Jesus said, and I will make you fishers of men. Mark 1:17

We had a great class today! We focused on Jesus calling four fisherman to be His disciples. We discussed what it meant for Jesus to be our King and how we should follow Him. We also discussed why it is best. We are rapidly progressing with our OT books of the Bible. I am so proud of them! Help your child to remember through Psalms for next Tuesday. In your Child's Story Bible please read Chapter 10 for class on Tuesday. God bless you all! I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. Psalm 119:105

Hello everyone!
I hope all is well with you. Our first Bible class went well today! I am excited to be with Hannah, Ashton, and Corabet. My heart is full as we work together to sow the seeds of scripture in these young people so they can glorify God in all they do! My goals this year are simple. Together we are going to work hard to get through the New Testament in the Child's Story Bible with an emphasis on Parables and Miracles. I also want them to learn the OT and NT books of the Bible in song. I am merely here to lend some structure to the Bible learning I know they are already getting at home. Please email me with any questions you might have.

Homework for Friday Sept. 9th

Read Chapter 6 - 9( if your child is familiar with these stories please feel free to summarize with them). You can read this to them or have them read it to you. It makes a great morning devotion for all ages. We will be discussing in depth Jesus calling the disciples in class on Friday.

Have them practice the OT books of the Bible through 1st and 2nd Samuel for class.

I look forward to seeing everyone on Friday! God bless you!
Miss Kristin
